Dr. Feng Chen received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Peking University. She completed her Ph.D. study at MIT in Dr. Robert Weinberg's Lab at the Whitehead Institute.  Dr. Chen conducted postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Frederick Alt at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Chen spent almost a decade at Cell Press-Elsevier, as Editor-in-Chief of Molecular Cell and Executive Editor of the Molecular Biology Portfolio overseeing additional review titles, Trends in Biochemical Sciences and Trends in Genetics.  She then joined Harvard University as Director of Research Affairs for the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology. At the American Chemical Society, Dr. Chen is responsible for the strategic development and editorial management of a multidisciplinary portfolio of ACS Publications, including its flagship title Journal of the American Chemical Society, Chemical Reviews, Accounts of Chemical Research, ACS Nano, Nano Letters, and other distinguished titles in agricultural and food, energy and environmental science, and chemical education.  She also plays a leading role in the development of strategic partnerships in China, Asia and beyond. Dr. Chen serves on the Journals Committee of Professional & Scholarly Publishing (PSP), Association of American Publishers, and is a member of the PSP Annual Conference Planning Committee. 

 

Dr. Glen Raffel received his MD, PhD. from Tufts University. He conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School. He is now an Associate Professor at University of Massachusetts Medical School.
