Professor Newby, Andrew Christopher, from University of Bristol, British Heart Foundation Professor of Vascular Cell Biology from October 1995, Co-director of the EC-funded European Vascular Genomics Network (2004-2008), Chairman of the Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science of the European Society of Cardiology (2004-2006). His research interest is: Cell and molecular biology of vascular cells, in particular control of vascular smooth muscle proliferation in atherosclerosis formation and restenosis after angioplasty.
