Professor. Rima Rozen is a expert of Pediatrics and Human Genetics Department, McGill University, Associate Member of Department of Biology, and Associate Vice-Principal(Research & International Relations) , McGill University . She is also a important member of International Scientific Advisory Board CIC-Biogune, Spain and a Member of Board of GRISIQ, and other professional societies as well, such as Canadian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, American Society of Human Genetics, Canadian College of Medical Geneticists, European Academy of Sciences, Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and Royal Society of Canada.
Professor Rozen is a brilliant expert on Molecular Genetics and Metabolism, She contributes great energy to deep investigation into hereditary metabolic disease, genetic-nutritional interactions in heart disease, birth defects and cancer, and folate and homocysteine metabolism, accomplishes with various technology transfermations in molecular genetics and metabolism.
Professor Rozen has received numerous honors throughout her distinguished study and career, including "Prix d'Excellence" for pediatric research from the Inter-Service Clubs Council of Quebec(1991), Prix Léo-Pariseau 2000 Association canadienne-francaise pour l’avancement des sciences (2000), CIHR Senior Scientist Award(2000-2005), James McGill Professorship (equivalent to Canada Research Chair Tier 1) -awarded in the first year of the program at McGill University(2001-2015), Montreal Children’s Hospital Award of Excellence in Research (2003), Jewish Women in Medicine Honoree, Temple Emanu-El, Montreal(2004), Canadian Academy of Health Sciences Inductee(2006), Woman of Distinction Award in Health and Science, Women’s Y Foundation(2009), Royal Society of Canada Inductee(2010).
Professor Rozen has published 171 papers totally on academic journals, 11 book chapters, and 1 book. She serves as distinguished reviewer for many scientific journals, including Molecular Genetics and Metabolism,Journal of Inherited Metabolic Disease, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, and American Journal of PharmacoGenomics. Professor. Rozen is also a member of editorial board of Molecular Genetics and Metabolism journal.She has presented lectures at many international symposiums and workshops on Molecular Genetics, and mentored hundreds of PhD students and postdoctors.
